Usually around this time of year I’m endlessly complaining about the cold weather in New York. To my surprise, even in December the temperatures have been bearable enough for me layer lightly. For my street look in Soho I went for a bit of a collegiate vibe with minimal, yet bold stripes. I balanced the thin, red stripe in my jeans with thicker yellow and red stripes in my turtleneck sweatshirt and a tan trench coat (all three pieces are from Zara). (more…)
I love waking up to beautiful mornings in NYC. The West Village is among one of my favorite places to be on a beautiful day. If I could choose where to start my morning everyday, I would probably be right here at Stumptown Coffee Roasters on West 8th Street. I paired my cute (and crazy comfortable) flare pants by BooHoo with a nautical blue-striped t-shirt, wide fishnets, and burgundy Franko Sarto chunky heels. All-in-all, the look was fairly simple, but the different mediums of textures, colors, and shapes brought into play really added an extra umph.
Greenwich Village in NYC is loaded with romantic nooks, unique thrift shops, great food, and has an organic aura. Beyond Washington Square Park, even the streets and residential areas are beautiful.
